We are a subsidiary of Evans Marketing Corporation, a company borne out of the entrepreneurial spirit of our founder, Honesto C. Evangelista. In 1973, he formed the company and initially engaged in the dealership of construction supplies and industrial products. From this modest beginning, we evolved over the years into a major dealer of medical imaging supplies and products. We represented and successfully promoted products such as: DuPont X-ray films and chemicals, Agfa-Gevaert X-ray films and chemicals, and Kodak X-ray films, chemicals and equipment.
Our long exposure to the healthcare industry and long-term relationships with the major healthcare service providers in the country gave us the momentum to expand our product portfolio into the diagnostic imaging equipment market. Thus, in 1992, we worked with GE Medical Systems as their Distributor and Sales Representative for its diagnostic imaging systems. This agency-partnership lasted up to 1994.
Subsequently, we obtained the exclusive Distributorship in the Philippines of Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation, for their diagnostic imaging systems.
To strengthen our market focus and achieve a continuum of our partnership-relationship with our client base, we incorporated the Philippine Medical Systems Inc., in 1995 and fully positioned its more robust resources to the Toshiba product portfolio.
In 2016, Canon Inc. purchased the Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation and in 2018 renamed the company to Canon Medical Systems Corporation. With this corporate turnover, we became the official distributor of Canon Medical Systems in the Philippines.
